Microchanneling

Discover Microchanneling

TotalSkin Solution™

What is Microchanneling?

Using our medical grade DermaFractional equipment offers dermal microchanneling with simultaneous delivery of a targeted serum infusion. It can be used on even the most sensitive skin, is gentler than laser treatments and there is NO downtime.***

How does it work?

The hand piece has a tip cap with micro-fine needles which penetrate the skin, epidermis into the upper most layers of the dermis, causing tiny channels. The channels allow the infusion of serum to penetrate deeply into the skin. The tiny needles create minute trauma to the dermal layer of skin, thus causing an increase in collagen production. Collagen gives the skin its strength and structure, and also plays a role in the replacement of dead skin cells. This is an important structural protein which gives us that supple, youthful appearance. The serum choice is based upon individual needs for the skin.

What can be expected during a treatment?

Though there are micro-fine needles used, the treatment is not painful. Each treatment begins with a thorough cleansing of the treatment area. If done in combination, Microdermabrasion is performed first. During microchanneling, there is a cool, wet feeling as the serum is infused and a gentle pulling of the skin as debris is sucked away. Upon completion of the treatment a mask is applied and removed with warm towels and nobody leaves the office without an application of SPF.

**This treatment accelerates skin renewal, opens pores and removes oils and bacteria. This makes your skin more receptive to topical skin care treatments and can enhance the benefits of serum infusion with channeling. However, the Microchanneling can be performed alone and is recommended during the summer months because the stratum corneum remains intact.
